v0.26 Release


With this new release this game me the time to address some of the issue people were having with the game. Mainly what they are meant to do. There are a few ways to handle it, but one of them end up being the obvious choice: the new Task Log system (work in progress). From there you may have a better idea on what to do next as well as unlock new task as you progress to the game. The current implementation is a bit basic, but it's a good start.

Aside from that we got another major addition to the game: enemies. You only had test dummies to experiment with this system in prior builds, but after days of trying to relearn how to properly make working Npcs (that don't feel too simple), I ended up with something functional for you guys to try. The damage outputs may be random, since it is. As it is something that needs tweaking down the line.

Enemies aren't the only new NPCs. There are a few more folks you can encounter. Many of which are tied to certain times of day that you can encounter. Some you can meet early as a few are connected to the new task system that was implemented.

You might even find a few new locations that are tied to these npcs. All are still in their concept stages (like most of the game), but they will become useful after a few updates. 

You may learn a few more things while you explore the world. So do let me know what needs to improve and change and I'll see you guys in the next update!

Engine Version: Godot 4.1.3

- Added three new npcs

- Expanded the gate area

- Added the Conservatory (early concept)

- Added a new area (early concept)

- Added the missing nap and sleep options when talking to Norbay at a certain time

- Expanded the first outdoor level

- The first proper enemy. Which can damage you

- You can now be "defeated" after losing shield

- Remove some old leftover dialogues

- Modify some dialogue

- Added older save file warning

- Minor improvements to the dialogue animation system

- Early implementation of the task system

- Temporary fix when spamming E (or equivalent) to talk

- Added an extra control scheme for the time controller

- Fixed a crash from outside the main building

- Norbay may or may not give hints on what to do at a certain day

- Fixed a bug when trying for eggs again

- Fixed an issue when talking to Norbay to sleep which caused an unexpected side effect when pregnant.

- Early development of plant life
